Tustin Cobra Black Midgets are Orange Bowl Bound

(photo courtsey of Jonathan Fine)
The Tustin Midget Black Cobras defeated Yorba Linda on Sunday in an exciting game that came down to the wire with a 20-14 victory. The Midget Cobras are heading to the Orange Bowl to meet the undefeated Santa Margarita Mustangs whom won a nail-biter a few weeks against our Cobras. The rematch is set for this Saturday (11/07/09) at Laguna Hills High school at 7PM.  Laguna Hills High School is located at 25401 Paseo de Valencia, Laguna Hills, CA 92653, and the OEC website indicates that admission is $5.00

Unfortunately, our JPW Black Cobras, led by head Coach Mike Mallard, lost to the Cypress Centurions 22-17 on Sunday, in another game that came down to the final seconds. The PW Black Cobras, led by Head Coach Eric Garcia, also lost 22-0 to the La Habra Lions in their second meeting of the season. These two Cobra teams had a great season and took it down to these Semi-Final games. We are very proud of these two teams who had a great season and represented Tustin like Champions.
Again, we are proud of all our Cobra football teams as well as our Cheer Squads for a great 2009 season. We encourage our members to come out and support the Midget Black Cobras this Saturday night at Laguna Hills High School and also our Cheer Squads who will be competing in the OEC Cheer Competition at the UCI Bren Center this Sunday (11/08/09).
